On Leaving the Scapegoat Pattern

On Leaving the Scapegoat Pattern

To be cast as the scapegoat is to be trained into a role
to carry tension, absorb projection, and make meaning out of disorder

Even after leaving the original system, the role can persist
not because it is imposed, but because it is remembered

The mind, shaped by that role, begins to organize the world accordingly
seeing hidden structures, connecting events, mapping intent
patterns emerge, not all false, but not all true

Where there is uncertainty, the old position fills the gap
something is being done to me, something is being concealed

This is how victimhood evolves, not as weakness
but as a continuation of a once functional adaptation

To leave the role is not to deny what happened
it is to refuse its total authority over perception

Not every pattern is a plot
not every tension requires a bearer
not every signal is addressed to you

Freedom is not found in withdrawing from systems
nor in decoding them completely
but in no longer being compelled to occupy the role within them

You are not required to carry what was once assigned to you
you are not required to interpret the world through that assignment

To step out is not to abandon truth
but to loosen the grip of a single story

The world is larger than the role you survived
